Selecting the correct boa for your application is reasonably straight forward. Most boas are offered in a variety of natural, dyed or two tone colours as well as options for gold and silver lurex or burnt hackle accessories.
All boas are a full 72 inches (1.85 m) in length and are made in "plys." We start with reinforced braiding and carefully sew into the braiding a layer of feathers. To this we add further layers to the desired quantity ordered. Each layer of feathers is a "ply." The more "plys" you require, the more feathers are incorporated on the boa.
Ostrich Feather Boa
Hand made ostrich boas and fringe are manufactured using ostrich wing feathers and are ideal for use by the costumer or designer for cutting, gluing or sewing as they will not unravel.
